An original hand colored print titled: Nassau. Offizier, Voltiguer, Grenadier, Fusilier, 2. Infanterie-Regiment in Spanien. 1810. It is Band II, Plate 12, Uniformenkunde Gesamtverzeichnis no. 484, from the Uniformenkunde series of 1060 plates created by Richard Knotel to illustrate world uniforms from the 17th century to just prior to WWI.
The plate is from the original 1891 printing by Max Babenzien in Rathenow.
The condition is as shown in the product images which are photographs of the actual plate. The plate is in very good condition.
Note the green breeches worn by the officer. Other copies of this same plate show him in white pants. According to the accompanying "Handbuch der Uniformkunde", white breeches were an alternate uniform also worn by this regiment with the troops wearing black gaiters.
