This is an original hand colored military uniform print from Richard Knotel's Uniformenkunde, a series of 1060 plates illustrating world uniforms from the 17th century to just prior to WWI. The Uniformenkunde is the most comprehensive study of world military uniforms ever published.
It is titled: Sachsen, Husar, Scharfschutz, Scharfschutzen Offizier, Banner der freiwilligen Sachsen. 1814 and is Band I, Plate 5, Uniformenkunde Gesamtverzeichnis no. 914.
The plate is from the original 1890 printing by Max Babenzien in Rathenow.
The condition is as shown in the product images which are photographs of the actual plate. The plate is in excellent condition.
