An original hand colored print titled: Hessen-Kassel. Kurhessische Garde du Corps (Parade-Anzug). 1866. It is Band XI, Plate 27, Uniformenkunde Gesamtverzeichnis no. 410, from the Uniformenkunde series of 1060 plates created by Richard Knotel to illustrate world uniforms from the 17th century to just prior to WWI.
The plate is from the original 1900 printing by Max Babenzien in Rathenow.
The condition is as shown in the product images which are photographs of the actual plate. The plate is in good condition with some wear in the upper right corner. It was previously framed and the unframed part of the front shows a little discoloration and there are the remains of three mounting strips along the top.
